ABOUT US (আমাদের কথা)

"Vande Purushottwam Shri Shri Thakur Anukulchandram"

Hi, I'm Subham Dey. Welcome to my 'Sports Blog'. I'm the pilot of this spacecraft.

People have always wanted to conquer the world since that primitive age. The playground has given mankind the opportunity to do that. People have felt the taste of winning the world through sports.

Sports has its own world, a universe. Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Hockey, Badminton... are like planets, stars, asteroids of this universe; just like a galaxy.

"Away! away! for I will fly to thee,
Not charioted by Bacchus and his pards,
But on the viewless wings of Poesy."
Citing Keats, with the invisible wings of the word, my 'writing' spacecraft will take the sports-loving readers to the space of the sports world. Hopefully, it would be a great fun.

Our journey began to the galaxy called 'Sports'. We've miles to go. Stay with your support, blessings and good wishes on this journey. These will lead my blog to it's destination.

Thanks. Jay Guru.

"Away! away! for I will fly to thee,
Not charioted by Bacchus and his pards,
But on the viewless wings of Poesy."

Sachin is playing Sachin is playing Sachin is smashing SIX! Sachin is playing Sachin is playing Sachin is smashing FOUR! Sachin is playing Sachin is playing Sachin is smashing SIX! Sachin is playing Sachin is playing Sachin is smashing FOUR              ~ Chandrabindu [ Benga li Band ] 15 November, 1989. India-Pakistan Test match is going on at Karachi. After losing the toss, Pakistan batted first and registered a massive total of 409 runs in the first innings. In reply, four of India's top order batsmen returned to the dressing room with just 41 runs on the board. A 16-year-old boy entered the field with the bat. A deadly bouncer of another debutant, Waqar Younis welcomed the boy to Test cricket. Did the teenager leave the field as a retired heart? Was the tender mind scared? No. He fought. The small humble kid with unruly curly hair fought the most deadly bowling attack of the generation - Wasim Akram, Imran Khan and Waqar You...

Mahi: who has a beginning but no end!

So it's another July 7. Mahendra Singh Dhoni grown one year older. At 39, he is well and truly in the evening of his career. They say, in the life of every athlete there comes a time when there are signs that the end is near. His keeping hasn't been without faults, the byes seem to come every game and an odd edge too finds its way past him. As for his batting, every time he has walked out to bat in the last World Cup, he seemed to be playing from memory. Actually, all good things must come to an end and there's this feeling that Dhoni might well be on his last lap. And knowing Dhoni, the kind of person he is, there may not be an official announcement of one of India's most popular and successful captains walking into the sunset. Dhoni has always been a man at peace with himself. At the height of his success, he was firmly grounded. He is someone who has never allowed all his fame and fortune to control his life. He likes to keep things simple. And,...

It's Not Easy to be Leo!

On This Day in 1987, Rosario, Argentina Yes, Lionel Messi turns 34 today, you all know that very well. However, when you're celebrating his greatness on this day, Messi can think a while, what he has achieved and lost in this 34 years? He could not bring the World Cup for his country, he may suddenly remember not being able to keep this promise to himself. If you are a football fan, Messi must be a part of your life for a long time. You may remember;  from school to college, when the boundaries of the university have been crossed, beard has grown on Messi's clean shaven face. Messi has cut his long hair, you also started to be aged little by little. Just one thing has not changed, on a weekend night you were thrilled to see Messi magic as before. Seeing those unbelievable free-kicks, your madness has increased day by day. In a life full of brick, wood, sweat and rubbish, when you are tired, you waited for Champions League nights. For the Ronaldo-Messi Clasico over the ...
